Sharan Strange (born 1959) is an American poet.

She grew up in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She graduated from Harvard College, and from Sarah Lawrence College with an MFA.
She is a contributing and advisory editor of Callaloo and cofounder of the Dark Room Collective.
Strange has been a writer-in-residence at Fisk University, Spelman College, the University of California at Davis and the California Institute of the Arts. She currently lives in Washington, D.C., where she teaches writing.
